All positions have been filled up for Semester 2 of 2023-2024
Our goal is not just only to help visiting makers, but also to offer some students the opportunity to work and/or intern at the Hanze Makerspace for one or multiple semesters. It’s a great place for motivated students to learn to work within a team, with people from many disciplines, projects of many natures and a huge array of tools and techniques.
Role of Student-Assistant
Do you like designing, sketching, crafting, coding, constructing or otherwise making things? Does the prospect of learning about all sorts of new tools and methods to make things excite you? Then we suspect you might be a real maker at heart!
If the prospect of also getting paid for making things excites you all the more, then you might be exactly the kind of person we’re seeking to expand the team for the coming semester!
Student-Assistants at the HMS are our first point of contact for visiting makers and are trained to know a little about everything at the makerspace in order to be able to advise, maintain and train effectively. The HMS team is an amicable group of like-minded makers joined by their shared passion for making real things with specialisations ranging from digital, to hand-crafts, to serious vertical slab saw (wall saw).
